Marketing Manager - New York, NY / Remote

EMX is a crypto-based derivatives exchange that bridges global commodity, equity, and crypto derivatives markets. Our senior leadership is made up of industry experts from CME, BitMEX, ICE, NYMEX, Citigroup, BNP Paribas, AQR, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple and other top tier firms. EMX is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with regional offices in Chicago, New York City, and Hong Kong.

As a Marketing Manager at EMX, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a global marketing program that will establish EMX as a leading brand in the crypto trading and investment community. You will play a crucial role in growing community interest in EMX, tracking advertising campaigns, and generating leads. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing, and manage the development and execution of marketing strategies across international markets. This is a position that will simultaneously be challenging, rewarding, and full of immense growth potential.

Responsibilities 

  • Implement community engagement activities across media channels (YouTube, Telegram, Reddit, Twitter, Trading View, email, websites and landing pages)

  • Activate trading groups, crypto enthusiasts, and ICO communities to consider EMX as a trading platform of choice

  • Acquire and convert leads into active EMX customers

  • Assist with the planning, development and execution of the exchange launch, and all related community outreach, loyalty and ambassador programs

  • Assist VP of Marketing with implementing, tracking and reporting digital advertising campaigns

  • Manage content, email marketing campaigns, and blogs using CMS and CRM tools

  • Brainstorm strategies and campaigns for growing and engaging online communities

  • Report back to the team on community activity and ICO interest

  • Collaborate with the Product, Sales and Customer Support teams to develop cohesive marketing plans and offers

Requirements 

  • 3+ years of marketing or social media experience

  • Experience with content management tools such as Hubspot and Zendesk

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and interpersonal

  • Active crypto trader; futures trading experience preferred

  • Knowledge of social media best practices, SEO, paid media, and event marketing

  • Experience with crowdfunding campaigns or ICOs

  • Proactive, autonomous and diligent

  • Record of participation in different crypto social outlets, Discord channels, and Telegram groups

  • Basic understanding of metrics and data analysis; Omniture or Google Analytics experience preferred

Preferred 

  • Fluent in an Asian language

  • Understanding of futures trading, programming languages, or financial markets
